Geeking out: World’s first 1,000-processor chip
In episode 62, Charlie and Jordan discuss the “KiloCore,” an energy efficient microchip containing 1,000 independent programmable processors. The KiloCore was designed by National Science Foundation-funded researchers at the University of California, Davis, making it the highest clock-rate processor ever designed in a university.
