Living Ink: Sustainable ink made from algae

Living Ink Technologies, a small business supported by the National Science Foundation, is using synthetic biology to develop sustainable ink with algae. The company hopes to replace petroleum-derived products, such as ink, with its algae-based biomaterial. America's Seed Fund, powered by the National Science Foundation, is a $200 million program that awards research and development grants to small businesses and startups, transforming scientific discovery into products and services with commercial and societal impact.
