'Antenna spray paint' could unlock the potential of smart technology

Researchers at Drexel University have discovered a way to turn a type of 2D, conductive material, called MXene, into antenna spray paint. This development could unlock the potential of smart technology and help connect the Internet of Things. The antenna spray, which can be applied as a thin -- even invisible -- coating, can create antennas that perform as well or better than those currently being used in mobile devices. And they exceed the performance of new antenna materials such as graphene and carbon nanotubes.
